……… The Healing Power of a Gentle Touch
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a very gentle, hands on form of bodywork that can create powerful and dynamic changes in your life. It aims to release tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction, improving the individuals health and well-being.
The central nervous system CNS has influence over the majority of body structures, and the craniosacral system is at the centre of the CNS with the bones of the skull, the soft tissues and fluid that comprise and surround the brain and spinal cord.
Each and every day our body adsorbs and reacts to stresses and strains, but it can only adsorb so much before it starts to change the structure. Daily life, from physical injury to emotional trauma can create or add to restrictions.
Craniosacral Therapy’s light touch techniques can allow the tensions to release, to allow the whole body to relax and self-correct. Due to the gentleness of the technique, it is suitable for everyone, from new borns to the elderly and frail and everyone in between.
The video below shows just how transformative it has been for some people.
CST is not a replacement for medical care, however if you are curious about the approach and whether it may be helpful for you and you would like to
try CST for yourself then please feel free to email me giving me some
information as to what it is you would like help with. Alternatively you can call the clinic on 01292 287827
A typical CST session takes place in a quiet setting. You remain fully clothed and relax on a comfortable treatment table if you are able. The therapist will listen to your body's craniosacral system using their hands, to locate areas of restriction and where in the body to treat.
Sessions usually last up to an hour. Your experience is very individual and no 2 sessions are likely to be the same. You may feel feelings of warmth, softening, relaxation of tissues or pulsing either where we are working or at points in the body that appear unconnected, due to the fascia connections in the human body.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the nature of my business, I endeavor to be able to offer an appointment within 48 hours of initial contact. This means that I require notification of any appointment needing to be cancelled to be done with at least 24 hours notice. Failing to give 24 hours notice will be met with a request for payment in full, to cover the appointment .Any further appointments may need to be secured with pre-payment made via bacs transfer. I regret having to bring in this policy, but the number of late cancellations, and'or no shows recently, has meant that people are made to wait for an appointment longer than is necessary.
